What is Flodesk and why is there so much hype?

With all the buzz Flodesk has been getting lately (a little over 25,000 brand new users in just 16 days) you may be wondering what Flodesk is and why I am so excited about it.

Ever since university, I was always told that the infamous MailChimp was the software to use... and I must say, I genuinely tried. But one of the key things about working for small businesses is cost cutting - and MailChimp wasn't doing it for me. So I did my research and stumbled across Flodesk.

With Flodesk’s email workflows, you can set up any number of automated actions to take place after a certain amount of time or when an action is taken. So before you send out your next newsletter, why not create an email workflow that sets up a reminder seven days later? Or maybe one that reminds you to follow up after reading a response? The possibilities are endless!

You can create and manage your own workflows directly in the web app or via the desktop app (which will also sync with all of your device). For example: if someone sends me an attachment through Gmail, I like knowing their name so I can write back and say thank you right away. With Flodesk's “add attachment” option , I can add my own custom variables based on who sent them along with their name into my template so that it comes out automatically whenever they send something over.
